This Kid is Kickin' My Arse!

The fatigue is unbearable. I can't do anything without wanting a nap. Even sitting wears me out. I've learned my lesson though, from here on out I'm only allowed to participate in one event per weekend. Doing something on both Saturday and Sunday is too much for my pregnant self to handle. I get headaches, irritable, and even more nauseous.
I'm headed out tonight to try and find at least one pair of comfortable pants to wear to work. Coming in with pants half zipped isn't going to cut it for much longer.
Then again on Sunday maybe with Mom for some more comfy clothes shopping and to scope out a potential crib.
Next Monday is my intake appt, which will be a general physical and lots of paperwork. Fortunately, I got the paperwork at my last visit and have it all completed. They might check to see a heartbeat, but I doubt I'll get to hear it. Lil' buddie is only the size of a pencil eraser at this point, so it's not likely we'll see much.

The Nausea's Back for Round 2

(I'll apologize now for the jumpiness of this message. Pregnant brain has not been kind to me, so I try to note stuff as I'm reminded of them.)

It hit me the day before yesterday. I was just fine, went for a trip to the grocery store and whammo! So far it's been the worst yet. I'm only thankful for the fact that I haven't lost my cookies yet and I'm hoping that I won't have to.
I haven't gained or lost any weight, but was on the heavy side to begin with so I'm sure lil' buddie is just fine in there.
I should be about 6 weeks along now, but still haven't received the 2nd of the two blood tests I took at Kaiser, so I'm not sure if that dating is correct.
The Mr. has an out of town show to work the same weekend as our first anniversary. He's trying to swing it so we can be there together so we can celebrate. At that point I should be about 5 months pregnant, so I might be showing then. :)
Well, back to work before I forget what I'm doing.

Battle of the Bloat

Well, since we've found out that we've got a little buddie I have been battling the bloat. At one point it was so bad that I looked several months pregnant before I even hit the 2 month mark.
It seems that the water rentention has settled a little because I'm now actually able to zip up my pants and button them! I was afraid that I would have to invest in maternity pants right away, but it now seems that I'm going to be able to survive a few more weeks without taking that jump. Whew!
I can also say that my food preferences have definately turned into cravings. Last night I had the hunkering for some of the Mr.'s Uncles Lasagna. Unfortunately, he lives more than 50 miles away, and driving out there to demand Lasagna just didn't seem practical. So I settled for a traditional Lasagna from Whole Foods. Have I mentioned before that they are now my favorite place for take out? Everything's so fresh and delicious smelling in the hot food section. One of these days I'll have to try their burrito bar, I hear it's all the rage!

So sleepy.... ZZzzzz....ZZzzzz

Wow the fatigue is amazing! Wednesday I was in bed by 830, yesterday I fell sound asleep on the couch around 730, and then moved upstairs to bed with no hesitation at 9. I slept completely undisturbed until 3 this morning, but that's only because I had to use the bathroom.
My pants are barely buttoned and my chest feels like it's exploding out of my shirt. Thank goodness for baggy clothes! But still no recognizeable visable clues, so the co-workers are none the wiser. Whew!
We have dinner plans tonight and I don't know if I'm going to be able to stay awake through the meal. Good thing we were planning on sharing the news with this couple, otherwise they might think I'm completely rude or on drugs! LOL

Time moves so slow

According to the wacky Dr's calculations, I'm officially 1 month pregnant. I keep expecting to see some visable changes, but nothing. I seem to be getting increasingly nausious, but the fatigue seems to have subsided a little.
The appetite is getting larger. I ate two soft tacos and a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell yesterday and could have eaten more! The day before I felt like honey roasted peanuts and bought a small can, once home, I ate more than half of the can before I realized what I was doing.
My skin is quite unbalanced. Areas that were once oily are now dry, dry area's are now flakey, and my scalp is extremely itchy. You would probably advise that I should be drinking more water, but I'm drinking like 10-12 glasses a day. I can't get enough of the stuff.
What have I gotten myself into?

36 weeks and counting.

4 weeks down, 36 to go

36 weeks seems so far away. I imagine that the big day will be here before we know it and then I'll be saying that our lil' buddie can't come soon enough. ;)
I've been able to subside the nausea by keeping something in my stomach at all times. I'm eating small about every 3-4 hours, and have switched taking the pre-natal vitamins from the AM to PM before I go to bed. That way any nausea I may have from them, is experienced while I'm sleeping.
This past week, I've woken up at 4 AM on the dot 4 out of 7 days. I'm fully awake, look at the clock and fortunately, am able to go back to sleep until I really have to get up. Hopefully, lil' buddie won't be an early riser. I hate mornings!
Still sensitive to smells, and getting some mild dull cramping(indigestion probably). The bloating has gone down, but my abdomen feels hard to the touch. My face broke out again too. :(
